The Government Training Institute (GTI) was founded in 2003 to address needs of state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the United States with research based training. GTI's multiple courses contain a cooperative curriculum base and ongoing research from a staff with extensive operational military and law enforcement experience.

JT Timmons is the foundation of our GTI Legion side where civilians are trained how to safely and effectively use their handguns and rifles. With JT's extensive law enforcement experience he his able to carry that training over to the civilian side so they can keep themselves and their loved ones safe if a life or death situation should arise. Not only does JT teach civilians skills he teaches them about the mindset of being a true gunfighter and shows them how someones mindset can make the difference.

Last month I did a review of the PWS MK111 MOD 2-M in honor of PWS signing on with GTI as one of our ATP vendors. After reviewing that AR I wanted to do an in depth review of the very first PWS AR I my hands on. The MK114 MOD 1 is the very first PWS rifle I had ever used/bought and it was the first rifle that made me fall in love with PWS and their long stroke piston ARs over 3 years ago.

Since 2010 SHOT Show has grown to become Las Vegas's 7th largest annual event and with every year more and more exhibitors try to reserve booth space but with the growing industry and only so much room to be used for SHOT Show something had to be done. Big things are going to be happening to accommodate the growing industry and it will make SHOT Show even larger!

The GTI Legion program allows civilians access to the same fantastic instructors and training venues previously only accessible to Law Enforcement, Military and First Responders.
