GTI Offers Immediate Action Teams Training

January 4, 2007 By Government Training Institute

Government Training Institute, Inc., a leading military and law enforcement tactical training organization, today announced the offering of an Immediate Action Teams / Active Shooter Response course.

The course is designed for patrol officers and takes students through the change in police action when presented with an active shooter situation. It offers students the latest intelligence on active shooter scenes while providing insight into possible incident developments and pre-incident indicators.

“Students will learn difference between the traditional response and the acceptable response to an active shooter situation,” said GTI president Chadd Harbaugh. "When innocent lives are at risk, law enforcement officers don't wait for a full team to assemble -- even at the risk of their own lives -- Immediate Action Teams training gives officers the insight needed to be better prepared in active shooter situations."
