Asset Trading Program

My name is Toni and I am the Administrative Assistant for the Asset Trading Program (ATP). Some of you that have attended training courses at GTI may know me as "The girl behind the desk". In my time at GTI, I have had the privilege of meeting a lot of the great men and women of the Military and Law Enforcement community. I have seen the hard work that is poured into training so that our communities and our Nation are protected.

There is a problem however and that is; in recent years agency funding decreased to such a level that it makes it extremely difficult for some agencies to get funding for even necessary training. Because of this decline, someone had to get innovative. That is when GTI found a solution to not only help connect agencies with training but also to help purchase replacement equipment with selected suppliers. Thus, the Asset Trading Program was born and that is why I am so excited to be a part of the ATP.

ATP has been extremely well received since its release in early 2017. The program has already traded vehicles, ammunition, explosives, collector firearms, tasers, tactical equipment, etc. for training and training credit as well as the purchase of new equipment. This program has given agencies a new opportunity to acquire the training and assets that they have struggled in recent years to afford. Thus giving rise to a new industry opportunity to be utilized by agencies and suppliers alike.

It has been inspiring to be part of the ATP and experience the successes first hand. I have heard the surprise in a Captain's voice when he found out that he was able to afford the training that his team needed by trading unused/ unwanted assets for training. Or an agency that was transitioning weapons and had an abundance of ammo that they would no longer shoot and we were able to turn that into medical kits for them. The program was designed to help agencies get what they need whether it be training, equipment or other assets, ATP can help.

Providing agencies with the information they need and giving them access to this groundbreaking program has been very rewarding. I am honored to be a part of what is happening at GTI. I am also eager to help as many agencies as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to request more information or have any questions about how your agency can benefit from the ATP.

I look forward to assisting you please contact Toni via email: ATP@gtitraining.org or by phone (803) 259-1979.
